THE UNTOLD TRUTH ABOUT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MONEY AND HAPPINESS

If you are like me, and the relationship between money and happiness is something that piques your curiosity, then this video may be just for you.

We all know the old saying, "Money can't buy you happiness". And to a degree, we all know this is true since money can't buy peace of mind, satisfaction, delight, or any of the feelings that comes with happiness.

But what exactly is Happiness?. Happiness can be defined in terms of "emotional well-being" and "life evaluation"

Having more money or being wealthy has a direct relationship with increased overall life satisfaction. However, this relationship is not a straight line. As income increases after a certain point, it's impact on happiness tends to reduce.

Have you ever considered the relationship between money and happiness? This is something I have been thinking about recently. Are happy people happy because they have more money? Or are people who are happy simply more satisfied with what they have? Can we say that happiness can be bought with money?

After all a lot of wealthy people still battle with alcohol or drugs addiction, depression, and some have even ended their own lives. In your own experience, you must have noticed that getting an increase or bonus didn't make you happier long- term. The initial euphoria quickly reduce as you get used to the new pay. Again, buying a new smartphone, or the latest trending gadget didn't do much for your happiness. On the contrary, a great experience such as a vacation in an exotic island will stay in your memory for life. You will always remember those moments.

Of course money by itself is not the sole determinant of how happy people are. And excessive materialism has negative moral and psychological implications. But the influence of money on happiness cannot be neglected.

The Bible made us to understand in the book of Ecclesiastes 5: 10 " whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.

I think what we have to grasp pretty well here is that money and happiness are not necessarily the same thing. Money doesn't buy happiness. This is a common mistake people make. You can be poor and happy. You can be rich and happy. One can be either POOR or RICH and be miserable.
